知了听懂了这句话,却没太明白里面的含义,于是问到:“What do you mean by no more than 2-year in a country。”
老头停下车子,通过后视镜,向着后面下车的乘客说:“Thank you and have a lovely night。”然后再次启动车辆,随着大家伙的缓慢起步,老头也打开了话匣子:“He started traveling the world since he turned to 18, and his plan was travel and work. When he arrived in a country, the first thing was finding a job locally, then couple months later he would decide to stay longer or move to next place. By following this way, he finished visiting more than 50 countries in this planet. Sometimes he would stay long for saving more money to move next, and that’s why he never stay in one place no more than 2-year. After 30, he decided to choose one place settle down, now he lives in Melbourne. This is his story, wild man。”
He never goes to college or university, right?”
老头笑眯眯地说:“Well, if you mean sitting in the classroom and finishing the papers, the answer is NO. He spent a dozen of years to see the world and to feel the different cultures, this is another university we call it ‘the human society’. Moreover, he already got his bachelor degree by self-studying, and now he is working on his master degree。”
知了自觉形惭,但又无可奈何,说到:“I love this way, and would like to do same thing. But as a Chinese people, I have to face a big problem, the Chinese passport is not like New Zealand passport, we have to apply for a visa to travel to another country. Your son can go everywhere without a visa。”
老头微微一笑:“Well, it might be a problem, but solvable, isn’t it? Everything is based on what you want, there is always solution. Follow your heart and listen to it, nothing is impossible。”
